The purpose of this catalog is to implement my "Framework for Auto-Generating Library Catalog Tags."
In short, the idea behind auto-generating catalog tags is to make OPAC results more relevant by applying successful search terms to the back-ends of item records. A successful search is considered one in which the search term resulted in the user checking out or placing a hold on a specific item. The idea is, that if one patron finds a search term applicable to an item, others may as well. It builds upon, and works in tandem with, the current system of catalog results based on subject and keyword. It's not a standalone solution, but one that would integrate within the existing system.
